As cameras flash and dresses shimmer, Liberty High School students take it to floor when celebrating their prom. While being held at Dragon Ridge Country Club, Liberty students are able to obtain the luxurious experience of celebrating with their peers before the end of the school year. Bella Cress, Junior Prom Loyalty at Liberty High School, believes that everyone should “go to prom no matter what anyone says because you can only go twice” (Cress). With prom restrictively being available to both juniors and seniors, it is considered a twice in a lifetime experience. As these two grades reach towards the end of their high school experience it is important to cherish and create various memories to look back on in the future. Although the prom itself created a memorable night for various students, several other students also created their memories outside of the dance itself. Liberty High School Junior, Aaliyah Terry claims how
her “favorite part of the night was my cheesecake factory dinner after” (Terry). By gathering up with one’s peers after attending a significant event, it can enforce the memories to become more significant and heartfelt amongst various individuals since they are both sharing an important memory of their lives with each other. When partaking in these activities, this can help build a closer bond amongst various friendships, making them feel closer and more meaningful towards each other than they were in the beginning of the night. With attending events such as prom, high school students are capable of sharing those memories together, causing the moment to become more intimate and connecting within themselves and their peers.

Although Liberty students claimed to have a time dancing their hearts out at prom, students also had several comments in regards to the venue the party was hosted in. With Liberty High School’s prom being held at Dragon Ridge Country Club, it provided a close distance with a beautiful sight and venue, making prom accessible towards all students. While the Dragon Ridge’s beauty and close proximity make it a convenient location for prom, there are certain concerns regarding the commute within the country club. Mustafa Ali, Senior Prom Royalty at Liberty High School, states how even though “prom did live to ur expectations the venue was cool, had a lot of fun but parking sucked” (Ali). Since Dragon Ridge is a private country club, there are various limited and reserved stops for residents within the area. This causes parking to become more inconvenient and harder amongst students due to the county’s limited capacity amongst its residents.Although these restrictions may have caused trouble in attempts to find parking in the country club, it does not completely define the prom experience itself as for various students placing great reviews on the dance itself. Overall, Liberty High School’s prom provided students with a memorable night filled with celebration, connection, and lasting experiences despite minor challenges with the venue. From dancing and shared moments to after-prom gatherings, the event allowed students to strengthen friendships and create meaningful memories as they approach the end of their high school journey. While concerns such as parking

presented some inconvenience, they did not outweigh the overall positive impact and significance of the night for those who attended.
