The biggest in the music industry gathered for the Grammy award ceremony on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles. With awards and nominations come strong opinions from viewers and critics alike. With viewers saying that an artist was robbed or was deserving to win. Dayton Whitmire, a junior at Liberty Highschool said “I think The Marias should’ve won, Olivia dean isn’t my favorite artist”.
There has been debate whether the Grammys is a good reflection of the current excellence of the music industry. Dayton Whitmire says “I think yes and while it might not be the exact amount of relevance it still plays a major role in many artists careers”.

With the night of the Grammys comes big performances. With huge artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and etc. With performances like these being a main part of the whole ceremony. Charlotte Crittenden says “My favorite performance is Sabrina Carpenter because I liked her outfits and her music”. The performances play a major role in the ceremony itself Aaliyah Terry states“I think that the live performances can bring someone to watching the ceremony and gives people something to talk about”.

With a big ceremony like this comes criticism. With some being about the winners, performances, and etc. Charlotte Crittenden says “A big criticism for the Grammys is that artists get snubbed out of awards”. The fashion is also a hot take when it comes to the Grammys. Dayton Whitmires’s opinion is “I think most outfits were creative but Chappell Roans was inappropriate”.

In the end the Grammy’s is more than a ceremony for awards, fashion, and performances it is a night where everyone in the music industry can be celebrated. A night where artists are celebrated and honored for their hard work. In conclusion the Grammy’s shows that the music industry is constantly changing and growing and brings people together.
