Every year, our student council comes together to plan a homecoming full of memories and experiences for our students. This year, homecoming will be held at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in Town Square on October 11th from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a time to get together with friends and celebrate the beginning of what could be an amazing school year. For some however, it can be a struggle figuring out how to have the most successful outcome for homecoming. That’s where we come in! This article is your guide to answering the FAQ’s about homecoming that our student council can’t give you.
What’s the best HOCO proposal?
Every year, people stress about the perfect way to ask out that special someone. My advice to you is stress out at all! So long as the way you ask them out is fun and creative, they will surely appreciate it. A pretty popular method people have been doing as of recently is writing down some corny pick-up line related to homecoming on a poster board and showing it to their date. If your date likes to be shown off (which be honest, who doesn’t?), then they will most certainly love this idea. However, if your partner is more interested in private proposals, a handmade card with lots of love and effort works just as well. I also highly recommend giving them some of their favorite thing (i.e., favorite candies, favorite stuffed animals, trinkets).
What’s the best place to go dress shopping on a budget?
This is a fantastic question and a concern for many. Not a lot of high schoolers can afford high-end dresses, so many have to resort to cheaper clothing. It can be hard to find a good dress for the special day that is budget-friendly, but fear not! There are surprisingly plenty of hidden gems out there. If you go to the outlet or Galleria Mall, you can find the Charlotte Russe store. They sell extremely cute dresses at an affordable price. They have plenty of cute and trendy options for homecoming season. Similarly to this, there’s Target. They’re prices are slightly above Charlotte Russe, but they have options of adorable satin dresses in a wide range of colors. They even have a bunch of cute options for handbags and jewelry. There’s also a lesser known store by the name of “Hottie” that provides plenty of incoming fashion trends and dresses that high schoolers love. The prices are about the same as Target.
How do I tell my boyfriend I want him to take me to homecoming without actually telling him (I want him to ask me)
As your boyfriend, he should automatically understand that he has to ask you out. If he gives you that stupid excuse of “Well, I’m already dating you, so why would I ask you out?” then that’s not your man anymore. Find a new date.
Best places to eat after homecoming?
Considering that homecoming will be inside Town Square, some honorable mentions for restaurants include Milano, Brio, and Lazy Dog. Some other recommendations I have are the Cheesecake Factory, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Chilli’s..
Best places to take homecoming photos?
Arguably, one of the biggest parts of homecoming is the photo opportunities. Many people are already planning out what their posts are going to look like and where they want to take photos. For some, however, it’s hard to plan out where exactly they want to go for their photos. Some places I would recommend are your local park or playground for a campy sort of look, the South Point (any part of the South Point, really. It’s all beautiful), and if you have a ride home with friends after homecoming I’d highly recommend the strip. It’s moderately close to Town Square, where homecoming will be held, and there are plenty of photo opportunities down there.
