A bill banning tik tok was introduced not too long ago. This bill would stop allowing tik tok to work on your phone, unfortunately this bill was passed into legislation and went into effect. 13 days ago for approximately 12 hours tik tok was banned sending its user into shock. Luckily the ban was temporarily lifted and pushed back 75 days. The app seems likely to be saved but in the event it’s not what should the users do. There are many alternatives to tik tok some being made specifically because the knowledge of the upcoming ban. One such alternative is a chinese owned app called red note. Red note was popular in the days leading up to the tik tok ban with hashtags such as #tiktokrefugees trending. The app offered a warm welcome to the distressed users of tik tok. However is red note a safe alternative? Kobe Kelly doesn’t seem to think so, “The governments plan backfired on them they moved people from a safer app that’s not even owned by a chinese company to an app who’s main user and owner are chinese, I think the whole thing is hysteria anyway is there really that much they can do with our data?” Red note was not the only alternative for tik tok some students named apps like “Likee”, “Triller” and others. Tik tok is an enjoyable app but it might not always be here so what app will you be moving to?
