Recently, there has been talks about a new Christian club coming to Liberty High School starting in the 2026-2027 school year. This club is an extension to the church “Jesus Is Lord” in Henderson Nevada and brings an opportunity for people at Liberty High School to experience God’s word and love in school through the teachings of JIL Church. Although this club hasn’t found its place yet in school many students are eager to join this club and partake in praising God at Liberty.
9th Grader Jordan expressed how the purpose of Impact Club is to lead the people of Liberty closer to God and to have an environment where they also have fun while doing so and it doesn’t just feel like a force of religion or another lecture. “The purpose of this club is to lead people closer to God while having fun doing it.” Jordan is explaining how the club will be a place where everyone feels welcome and feels like they belong in the presence of God and indulging in his word. With Liberty already having other Christian clubs, many people are questioning why there is a demand for another Christian club and what’s the purpose of making one.

With the club being named Impact, many people are wondering how this club will impact Liberty in the 26-27 school year and make a difference and how it would affect the school in different ways than other clubs have. Jordan explained that this club will impact students in more ways than one like never before by helping kids find God and their purpose in their walk with him. Jordan emphasizes that through this club God will help kids get closer to his presence and also learn to find their purpose in life and their walk with him to truly find peace and be one with the Holy Spirit.
This club won’t just be spreading the word of God to Liberty, but it will also be spread to places outside and live up to the name and have an impact on Henderson High Schools as a whole. 10th grader Destiny stated a fun fact about how the club will have people from Silverado High School and other schools to come and praise the Lord and have fellowship with their peers. “There’s a lot of people coming from Silverado and different high schools to join this club.” Destiny is saying that this club in due time will transcend the school bounds and become a club that welcomes not just Liberty kids, but all kids of the Henderson area.
So far, the creators of this club are eager to spread God’s word and have fellowship through the 26-27 school year. Other religious clubs at Liberty are also in support of the creation of Impact Club, making this another potential option for students.
