On July 23rd of this year, Travis Scott (Jacques Bermon Webster II) released his new album called “Utopia” on all music platforms. This is his first album since his well-known album “AstroWorld”, that was released nearly five years ago.
This new album is heavily tested and experimented on. In Utopia, there are multiple types of samples used including mellow instrumentals which helps to transition with songs, etc. This album has brought together many fanbases due to the numerous different types of artists featured: Such as, SZA, Drake, Playboi Carti etc.
““To be honest, I didn’t listen to the full album. I only listened to certain songs. But with the certain songs I listened to, I’d probably give it a 7.7/10. I’d recommend “I KNOW?”. That’s probably the best song off the album. The worst song on the album is TIL FURTHER NOTICE. ””
Utopia easily hit #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, equivalent to 147,000 units in the US! The Utopia Tour dates are out now! The tour will be held in multiple locations throughout the US. Travis says, “I’m trying to show people experiences where utopian things can exist.”

Good or Bad?
Many people have different opinions when it comes to the new Utopia album. So, what do students at LHS think about it?
““I think that Utopia was a 19 for 19 song album, and newly styled beats that Travis doesn’t normally work with, with artists like Teezo Touchdown, The Weekend, and Kid Cudi, while Travis Scott still
went back to rap beats with similar artists like Drake, 21 Savage, etc. AOTY contender.”
”
““I’ve heard the album and I think it was definitely worth the 5 year wait. The production is flawless and the flows are fire. For my favorite song, I can’t choose between I KNOW? and SKITZO.”
