Pure Aloha is a festival that takes place every six months, at the Silverton Hotel & Casino. This fall, the days were from October 4th to the 6th. It was the 14th annual Pure Aloha Fall Festival. This festival is made for the whole family. It also celebrates the Polynesian and other different islander cultures.
The food options include Zippy’s (which is only in Hawaii but they are soon to come to Vegas), Two Scoops, Jun Korean BBQ and many more. There is a variety of vendors that include Get Nutz Wear and many jewelry businesses.
During the day, there is live Polynesian Entertainment including dancing like the hula, Tahitian, and many more.
“I loved seeing the entertainment and seeing the different cultures all brought together at Pure Aloha,” said Christian Diamond Bumanglag (12).
For the kids, there is a large carnival with midway rides like the Ring of Fire and games.
At night, there are several concerts that come with general admission. This year there were singers such as Anuhea, Ka’ikena Scanlan and RedMelo.
This years fall Pure Aloha is especially exciting because Ka’ikena Scanlan is a new upcoming artist and many fans are excited about it.
“The best part was being an atmosphere that made me feel like I was at home in Hawaii,” said Shaleina Bird (12).
Pure Aloha is very much family friendly and there’s at least something for everyone. The best thing about it is that Aloha is shared throughout this festival and there’s always smiles and laughter.
