Skate 4, or just skate, is the new and greatly improved skateboarding game developed and published by EA Sports. The game was released on September 16, 2025 and is free to play on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and last but not least PC. The game has had 47,000-70,000 players online during the last 30 days. Skate 4 was definitely hyped up, considering that the predecessor, Skate 3, felt repetitive for the fans. Looking at the trailer, fans felt that the new physics looked great and loved the ragdoll aspect of the game. Skate 4 also introduced their new and improved “Flick-it” system, which allows players to flick the right stick in a certain motion to do a particular trick. Some skate. fans feel that the game is too glitchy and provides a plethora of these glitches to be discovered and used. Some fans feel that realism is the greatest part about the game. “Realisim is cool, but the glitches are pretty funny to see.” Kavali Parker expressed. One glitch that caught every eye on Skate 4 was the “Space Glitch.” This glitch allows users to literally launch into space and stay up there for quite a while. But ever since EA has discovered this, they have patched it. But that did not stop players from bringing other glitches into the light. There is also another launch glitch, but that glitch does not send you to space. But how do fans like the new map? Fans feel like the map is big enough for cool glitches and nice session spots. A lot of Skate 4 fans felt that it was a huge upgrade from the Skate 3 map, Port Caverton. That map had three districts that you could find to hit a session. The University District, the Downtown District, and the Industrial District. The Skate 4 map is also called San Van which also has other districts to skate in. The first district is Gullcrest Village. This village has a church with stained glass. The church also happens to have a skatepark in it. The second district is called Hedgemont. Some fans would say this is the main district of the game, considering you start there after the tutorial. The third district is Market Mile, and it’s known for its elevated slopes and ramps. Fans would consider this area to be the best for air tricks and grabs. The fourth and final district is Brickswich, which is the second-oldest district in the games timeline. It’s known for its historical sites and provides more skateparks. Junior, Jalen Lewis, declared, “I think that the map is nice and big enough.” Skate 4 has been out for about a month, and some fans are calling a fun, free-to-play game, while some players are calling the game “dead”already. “I rate the game like a 7/10.” Kavali Parker stated.“8.5/10”Jalen Lewis declared. Leon Davis shouted that the game was a 5/10. “5/10, very boring.” The future of the Skate franchise has a long way to go, with Season one just coming out two weeks ago. Keep those skateboards flipping and turning, and in the next few years, Skate 4 will become a timeless classic for the ages!
