DECA gives high school students hands-on experience in marketing, business, and entrepreneurship. Its goal is to prepare future leaders for successful careers in fields like marketing, management, hospitality, and finance. Our school’s deca club is going to California in early November for their westestern regional conference. They are also going to another conference here in vegas in late November. They do a lot of these events throughout the year. In their competitions you get a chance to talk and work with people from different parts of the world. You get to work on your presentation skills and learn how to be less shy. It’s a chance to build up your resume to help you have a good job later in life.
