There’s a new club at LHS! Fashion club. It takes place in room 816. This club is for people that find fashion as a way to express themselves or are looking to get into fashion. Whether it’s something comfy or out of your comfort zone it’s accepted. “I love how comforting and accepting the people in the club were, for being the first meeting it felt very comforting and welcoming” said Laura, a sophomore at Liberty. It is a safe space so no judgment is ever gonna be done. Many people in this club are looking to make a career out of their creativity. Always sharing and looking for new ideas is what these people are looking for. It’s a space where you can be yourself around other people who will admire the way you dress or put certain patterns or material together. A very organized club. Along as a very fun and collaborative club.
Speaking of collaborations Liberty’s fashion club is partnered with the fidm fashion club. The fidm is a program for student highschool to college. They help young artists pursue their interest in careers in the creative industry. Providing interesting information about the newest or oldest trends in fashion history.
The club’s officers are Destiny Giles (president), Nikko Cedrick (co-president) Alohi’lani Mattson-kelly, and Jazelle
Jimenez. You can find more information by dming one of these students instagrams, that will be provided on the clubs instagram page (@lhsfashionclub.lv). The meeting dates will be posted on instagram weekly. Join them and share their creativity and passion. Inspire someone who’s just looking for inspiration.
