In August, news came out that Amazon would be opening a distribution center in the Henderson area, right near the Raiders’ new practice facility.
The 600,000 square foot fulfillment center has been in the works for a while now. The project has been overseen by Panattoni Development.
Henderson residents await its completion. In fact, on an August episode of USA Today Network, Henderson spokeswoman made a statement.
“The city is excited to welcome one of the largest e-commerce and technology companies on the planet to the community, bringing quality jobs and helping to strengthen and diversify Southern Nevada’s economy,” said Kathleen Richards.
Plans for this project has been in the city documents since 2017, under the name of “Project Hope” and “Project 56”
Further comment and updates on the building have not been made.
