The assemblies here at Liberty aren’t just a break from class, they’re the heartbeat of our school. They pull together the difference of students’ lives and showcase everything from patriot pride to the talent amongst our classmates. Assemblies are where we celebrate, and remind us that being a Patriot means.

Spirit Days are themed days (usually in schools or camps) where students and staff dress up or participate in activities based on a specific theme to show school spirit, unity, and creativity. They’re certain days out of the spirit week that are a favorite to the students.
“Bringing any kind of backpack to school because I got to bring an ice chest.” Manuel grade 11 said
“For this week it was to bring your own cup for free lemonade .” Ten grade 11 said.
“Lemonade day.” Gellen grade 11 said.
What spirit week days would you like you to see?
“I would like to see a cowboy day for the Nevada vibe.” Manuel grade 11 says.
“Costume day so I can be a T Rex.” Ten grade 11 said.
“A free ice cream day.” Gellen grade 11 stated.
Do you think spirit days are important or should they be removed?
Manuel grade 11 “I think it’s important because it gathers people together.”
Ten grade 11 says “yeah I mean they don’t do any harm.”
“There’s no need to get rid of them, they give me free stuff.” Hellen grade 11 said.
Do you think more people should participate in spirit week?
Everyone dressing up for theme days or attending events shows school pride and makes students feel like they’re part of something bigger. Increases morale, especially during tough school months like midterms. Theme days like “Twin Day” or “Decade Day” let students be imaginative and have fun with friends. Even wearing the school colors or attending one event makes a difference.
Peyton Bertell said “I think they should, just because we try so hard to make it inclusive for everyone, we try and make it easy for everybody to be able to participate, so I think it just shows a little bit of support for what we do.”
Kayla Gaybe “Yeah, everyone participating in Spirit Day, like, it just shows, we’re all one school. It’s like, oh, look, everyone’s coming together doing the same thing. It’s just cool to see, walking around. Oh, everyone, we all agreed to do this one thing. It’s just. We’re all kind of on the same page.”
