Hey Patriots, school is back in session. The 2025-26 school year has started off with lots of excitement, with events such as the first football game, school assemblies, and clubs.
On August 30, Liberty faced off against Kailua for the first football game of the year. Which we ended up winning in an absolute blowout 33-0.
Football games are not the only thing Patriots are looking forward to, junior Klohe Adams noted that she’s, “excited for homecoming and prom and…looking forward to being with my friends…”

Many students are setting new goals for the new school year, “I want to have straight A’s and pass the ACT,” Adams remarked. “I want to pass my classes with a B or higher because I got one C last year, and it brought my GPA down,” Carly Thomas, a junior at LHS, explained.

However, with the new start of the school year, new concerns arise. “ I feel like it’s a lot and now teachers are piling a lot with everything like the assignments, but I feel like once I get back into the groove of things, it will be okay,” Thomas worried.

While the new school year presents more challenges, it also presents more opportunities. Welcome back, Patriots! We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events!
