Liberty High School doesn’t only function with the help of admin. Stu-Co comes together to create the environment of the school, the activities and events for everyone to enjoy. Student Council is a shielded and safe environment where students can express themselves freely, create opportunities to do positive things, and to be a role model for students who can’t express themselves. Their Mission Statement tells a clear and uplifting message, “We strive to create a positive and inclusive environment that makes all students and staff proud to be a Patriot.” But just because Stu-co is socially welcoming, does not mean there will not be hardships inside of the environment. A senior, Chloe Perez, had to imply some things about the hardships of Stu-co. “You won’t always get along with who you’re working with, so it can be difficult, but it’s easier because we’re so bonded as a council that we can get over
that and work
together.” Being in Stu-Co holds a great deal of responsibility as Hailey, also a Stu-co member, expressed, “Well you have a high expectation, you’re supposed to be a leader for students and you always have a deadline for something so it puts a lot of stress on you but I do recommend it.” Through whatever blocks come and stump this team of students, they will get through it together. Student council brings out the teamwork and cooperation that those have deep inside of them, even if unexpectedly. No matter how social or reserved one is. These students play a key role in the building blocks of Liberty High School, without them coming together as a team, this school wouldn’t have the same valuable energy. While there are some students who don’t at all enjoy being here, no matter what event, the student council still makes it their responsibility in creating the environment they do and nevertheless, “the process’ outcome is regardlesslessly rewarding in every way, nothing won’t ever go unappreciated by anyone,” as said by Chloe Perez! So thank you to our Student Council. We give props to you.
