Everyday at Liberty students from all walks of life walk through the same doors, the same halls, the same classes. All of these students have something to offer our school, but today in the spotlight is Kyla Fabro, a junior.
Kyla Fabro is a student most active in the arts at Liberty, a sector of our school that’s commonly looked over. She is known amongst her teachers for her works, some hanging in some of her classes.
Kyla Fabro first came from Del Webb middle school, previously Silvestri. But now, she’s succeeding more than ever. “ I’m quite proud of the figure studies and hand studies I’ve made last year” she exclaims, talking about some of her work she’s done in her classes.

But everyone has their struggles, and Kyla is no different. Art is tedious, and takes time to learn new skills. When asked about what she wants to improve on, she states “I want to work on perspective’ she critiques, “and capturing a mood in a piece”.
Previously, Kyla Fabro has taken Drawing I, and is currently taking Drawing II. “Drawing II is also nice” she enthuses. But next year, she plans to go bigger. “I’m planning to take AP Drawing next year” she buzzes, but frets, saying “I’m a bit worried about it”. But even so, she’s hopeful, stating “ I’m excited about the pieces I will make”.
To conclude our interview, Kyla was asked about her time at Liberty. “Just any moment where I spend time with my friends” Kyla relishes.
