Stress is one of the main things that students struggle with in High School. Most students in high school feel as if teachers give them too much work and do not give them enough time to finish it as well. High Schoolers constantly complain about the teachers and how they do not help relieve any stress. Students think that teachers just purposely give a lot of homework to make them struggle or fall behind in their classes. This is not the case!! Teachers do their best to give students the time they need to work in class. Students are sometimes just not very productive. One distraction to the class, causes all the students to not do their work. Although teachers do not implement the phone pouches, it is hard because students complain about not having their phones getting them taken away, when they should be taken.
Kids in high school and college do not use their time wisely to be predictive and get their work done. These bad habits cause students to have stress in their daily lives. Not only does stress affect your lifestyle behavior but it affects your cardiovascular and immune system. When you are constantly stressed it can also disturb your sleep pattern, which can affect your sleep schedule and make you feel lazy in school. Stress needs to be looked at in a different perspective. Teachers can help prevent stress, by taking phones away and making kids more productive in class. Homework should be optional to complete in class therefore students will not fall behind. Teachers should also do exercises where students can talk about their problems in class and give kids a chance to express their feelings as to why they are stressed in the first place. This exercise can help give students solutions to their stress and prevent it from happening again.
