How high can your GPA get? The answer to that is a 5.0. Dakota Russel managed to reach a 4.95 which is the maximum the school is able to give her even though it should be higher.

Dakota is a senior who has attended Liberty all four years. Even as a senior she’s taking 7 AP classes and is involved in after school extracurriculars. She’s in NHS and is the president of the Liberty Book Club. She’s exceeded the normal school curriculum, and continues to challenge herself each day.
She got a 1520 on the SAT and a 36 on the ACT, both near perfect scores. Amidst her success, she also says that her hard work has paid off and is a “challenge.”
Despite this, she likes the challenge, saying “What’s the point if everythings easy?”
Right now she is taking two-unpaid internships that appeal to her interests. She is currently interning at the West Henderson Library and is at the CSN Planetarium.

For college, she has many options, but one college is sticking out to her and her engagement with astronomy. Dakota states, “My top choice is Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. It’s a really good school for astronomy so it would be an amazing school to go to.”
Even with her packed schedule, she still manages to keep a positive mindset outside it all.
In her free time she’s been creating a game, TrappedInAMansion! If you’re interested, check it out by clicking the link below.
