Recently, pop singer Adele announced that she will end her residency here in Las Vegas. She performed very often over at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum Theatre. She has had a residency in Las Vegas for about 2 years and has performed around 100 shows in the Colosseum Theatre. 

     Adele has captured many individuals’ hearts with her songs full of raw emotions. Many people relate to her songs and many listen to them due to their catchy and powerful rhythm. Anonymous Adele fan explains that he loves her music and that her voice is

“stunning and her lyrics are so powerful and connect with many people.”

Her songs explore topics such as hurtful breakups, overwhelming challenges, and later overcoming those challenges, divorce, growth, and self-acceptance. These songs tend to encourage listeners to be better and can even help them cope with a breakup/divorce. 

     Adele announced the end of her residency and explained that she ended it because she needed to rest. She explained that one of the main reasons she decided to do a residency was because she wanted to keep her son’s life as normal as possible (Billboard) and that would have been impossible if she was constantly on tour so a residency was her next best choice and helped her succeed in keeping her son’s life relatively normal. 

     Her final show was full of tears and emotions as she bid her farewell to Las Vegas. She explained that she was “so sad this residency is over but [she] [was] so glad that it happened, [she] really, really [was]” She also added that she “will miss [this] terribly, [and] will miss you terribly. [she] [doesnt] know when [she] [will] want to perform again” (BBC). Her fans were upset but understood why she wanted to end her residency. Adele fan explains that while he was disappointed that she ended her residency he “admires that she wants to give her best to her fans”

     Now Adele’s plans for future performances remain unknown, both by her fans and herself, So what do you think will Adele take center stage once again in the future or is this the beginning of her retirement?
