The students of Liberty High School have nothing but great things to say about our local psychology teacher Mrs. Loosli. She has been working as a teacher for over 10 years and has worked exclusively with high school students. She has spent most of her time teaching Vegas students, but started her career in Washington, D.C.
Most teachers become teachers because of their love of a certain subject. Mrs Loosli had a similar motivation when it came to her teaching career. “I love learning and being creative, so it seemed like teaching would be the perfect fit for my strengths. Psychology is my passion, so it has been fulfilling to combine my favorite topics with teaching high school.” She expresses her love for psychology, but also mentions her excitement for teaching social studies and government. “I miss teaching the U.S. Government; it was a fun subject to teach the seniors.” Many students of all grades have loved being in Loosli’s class, everyone seems to appreciate her enthusiasm and genuine love of educating.
A current student in Mrs. Loosli’s class, Madison shared her favorite thing about the psychology teacher. “I’m thinking probably she just makes everything really interesting, and everything she has to say is, like, really meaningful, and I feel like it’s very useful, and she just makes it a fun, interesting class.” It is clear that Loosli cares about her students and shares the passion she has for her job.
As much as she loves working with students, Mrs Loosli also shared her dream job is in fact not teaching. While being interviewed, she talked about her interest in traveling. “I want to work for the airlines so that I can travel freely with my family around the world.” It is evident that regardless of what she does, Loosli has a love for learning and creativity. The students at Liberty are lucky to have her as an educator and supportive asset during their high school careers.
