Are you interested in the ASL Club at Liberty HS! The ASL Club is an activity club where you learn American Sign Language. This Club is to People who want to learn about The American Sign Language Club or about their culture. The ASL Club Holds after school every Tuesdays between 1:20 pm – 2:00 pm in ROOM 814.
The ASL Club is fun to experience and it is fun to do activities while learning the American Sign Language. It is to also help you Communicate with people that have a disability, Which is considered to Deaf People. The Club Also helps people that want to learn about their Silent community including those people, wants To be able to understand them. How this Club Affects people is that they want to learn and Also want to experience the American Sign Language to the silent community.
However, there are some statements that we had gathered while interviewing some students about their opinions towards the ASL Club. “What inspired the formation of the American Sign Language club at this school?” According to this student from Liberty HS, “This Club inspires me to learn a new language but with hand- signing, which are those who are Deaf.” The Club is to help you learn about the culture of American Sign Language. Another question, “What are the club’s main goals or objectives in promoting ASL?” Furthermore, another student from Liberty HS, “The Club’s main goal is to try and recruit as many people to help all people together in our community who are Deaf or hard of hearing.” It is important to try and understand people but with hand signals that could include people including the Deaf ones or the ones that’s hard of hearing.
