There are plenty of new movies coming out and being advertised every day -Deadpool and Wolverine being one of the most recent ones. The movie is based around Deadpool saving his timeline from peril. To do this he teams up with a Wolverine from a different timeline. This film was directed by Shawn Levy and stars the one and only Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The promotions for this movie was off the charts with everyone and their moms knowing about its release. Being a movie based in the Marvel Universe had a big play in its excitement. And with Marvel adding a new movie to its deck, people were going to watch it and review if they ate or just choked.
One Liberty Student, who chose to keep anonymous, inquired that if he could rate the movie on a scale of 1-10, he would give it a 0. Interviewee: “It was horrible. It was nothing like the last two movies. I hated it.”
Interviewer: “If you could change anything about the movie what would you change?”
Interviewee: “Everything. I’d change the whole movie. The only part I liked was Deadpool dancing and I liked the dog.” Already a horrendous review on the supposed “Marvel Masterpiece.” The film carried no resemblance to the original two movies and it apparently dragged as well according to (Anonymous)
However on the other end of the spectrum, Izaiah Samuels, a Junior here at Liberty, said that he absolutely adored the movie. Interviewee: “I wouldn’t change a thing about it. It was beautiful Marvel Jesus (Deadpool) came through once again.” When asked what his favorite scene was, similar to (first student) he said, “Deadpool dancing. That scene was super funny”
Finally, we had a student who truly stood in between hating the movie and praising it. An anonymous student, said that he enjoyed certain aspects and others should have been edited more professionally. Interviewee: “I’ve only watched the first Deadpool, so I couldn’t give an accurate rating and flow it had based off the last two, but if I had to rate it I would give it a 7/10.”
Adding on to this rating and further elaborating, they said, “It felt like if it weren’t for Deadpool’s sense of humor, the movie definitely would have dragged a lot. But I did enjoy the new villains, even if it did include the multiverse, which a lot of people seemed to be annoyed by.” “If I could fix anything it would be the climactic rollercoaster and I would likely speed it up. The movie definitely dragged a lot so, yeah, I’d speed it up.”
With all these many reviews of people either absolutely worshiping or loathing it, what is your final opinion on this film? Let us know on our website or at Liberty Central Newspaper on Instagram!
