Have you heard of Journalism? Journalism is a class we have in Liberty High School that is in control of the school newspaper. In this class you will be set in groups to create articles for the newspaper. This includes interviewing, taking pictures and writing. Not only will you be creating articles, you will do other fun projects as well!
We have interviewed 5 students and have asked them how they feel about journalism and what they think could be added to the program to make it better. The students we had interviewed are Daysie, Emilia, Chloe, Mason, and Noah.
One question we had asked was how they feel about journalism. Noah had said “I really like how laidback it is and how everything is organized.” Another student, Daisy, had said “I think it’s pretty cool and an interesting class to be in.”
Chloe and Mason had taken this class for 2 years and here is what they have to say about it. Mason says “This class can teach you a lot of things about journalism and writing too.” Not only do the students like the class because it’s fun but also because of Mrs. Spreitzer! Chloe says “Mrs. Spreitzer is one of my favorite teachers and she makes the class more active and talkative.”
Although the class is great, there are some suggestions on topics and on how to improve on the program. Daysie suggests morning announcements should be a topic we talk about. She had also suggested that when interviewing, there could be a use of a camera to record. Emilia suggested that everything recorded should be on the morning announcements.
