Now that the Democratic national convention is over the 2024 Presidential election is now set between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Vice President Harris was named the Democratic nominee this past week in Chicago. This comes after President Biden decided to drop out of the race on July 21st. The 2024 Presidential election will take place on Tuesday November 5th.
Both candidates are campaigning in six battleground states that could help them win and become the 47th president of the United States. Those states are Arizona with its eleven electoral votes, Nevada with its six electoral votes, Michigan with its 15 electoral votes, Wisconsin with its 10 electoral votes, Georgia with its 16 electoral votes, and Pennsylvania with its 19 electoral votes.
According to three different online polls it shows that Vice President Harris is leading in all six battleground states, another poll shows that she is leading in five out of the six states,and another poll shows that both candidates are tied in some states. The two candidates are set to debate on September 10th in Philadelphia. Former President Trump asked for another debate on September 25th but Vice President Harris has yet to accept. On October 1st Senator JD Vance(R) of Ohio who is Trump running mate is set to debate Governor Tim Walz(D) of Minnesota who is Vice President Harris running mate in New York City.
