The beginning of the Swordsmith Village arc just came out this Sunday. The first episode of season 3 or 4 (If you include the move) is named “Someone’s Dream”. (SPOILERS). This 1 hour long episode introduces us to only a glimpse of what’s to come later in the season.

The episode starts off by reintroducing us to Akaza (Upper Rank 3). After being summoned by the Demon king (Muzan) Akaza is on edge knowing there is only one reason all of them have been called after 113 years. Because of the death of Gyutaro and Daki, Muzan is outraged by this failure and chooses to summon all the upper ranks questioning their worth and blaming Daki for holding Gyutaro behind.

Starting off with Upper Rank 5 Gyokko, is introduced by coming from a pot and having mouths as eyes; he has a genie like appearance and seems to have some information on the Demon Slayers.

Next is Upper Rank 4 Hantengu is an odd fellow who seems scared and timid. Some might wonder how he is even an upper rank. Hantengu is seen to have horns and reddish almost resembling a horror movie demon.

Upper Rank 3 (Akaza) has been introduced before in the Mugen Train arc battling Rengoku. Akaza uses his bare hands and fists to fight using the Soryu Shiki fighting style that he learned when he was human. A fun fact about Akaza is that he doesn’t like eating women.

Second to last is Upper Rank 2 Doma, being first introduced in the Entertainment district as upper rank 6. He turned Gyutaro and Daki into demons and chose to save their unconventional lives. Doma is seen to have white hair with a red shirt and hat. Known to have a sarcastic and psychotic personality not many demons like him. Fun act Doma chooses to eat more women than men calling them nutritious.

Lastly, Upper Rank 1 Kokushibou was introduced by being mysterious yet very strong. Welding a sword and having 6 eyes. Not much is known about him so far in the anime.

The rest of the episode continues Tanjiros story. After waking up from a coma he finds out that his swordsmith does not want to make him another sword due to him breaking two and chipping the last one. Tanjiro soon is escorted to the swordsmith village to confront his swordsmith. Once there he finds the Love and Mist hashira along with Genya the wind hashiras little brother.

The next episode of season 3 comes out April 16, 2023 on crunchyroll. Continue the story of Tanjiro and his adventure in the Swordsmith Village, you won’t be disappointed.
