One casino attendee explains , “um, it was probably to show them negatively on what the casinos can do and how much money they are actually making.”
While JT states, “ they probably just wanted some money.” Both of these theories can be valid, but the true reason why MGM Resorts was hacked might never be known.
Who was behind this attack?

Could the attack have been prevented?
Many are debating on social media about whether this attack could have been prevented or not. Some say higher security would be helpful while others are saying the situation couldn’t have been prevented at all. “Yea, After seeing the MGM get hacked i’m sure other casinos don’t wanna get hacked so they should invest some money to do that” Nick explains.
