Philadelphia Eagles star player Jason Kelce reports that he is retiring after the season ending loss. Kelce was considered one of the best centers in the NFL. He was selected by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats as well.
Kelce is a SuperBowl Champion, seven time Pro Bowl selection, and a six time first team All Pro Selection. It was announced that he would be retiring after 13 seasons. At the end of Monday nights, game cameras caught his emotional last game moments. Kelce told reporters last week that he thought he would possibly be playing his last game three seasons ago. He can now spend more time with his wife, Kylie, and their three daughters.
Eagles players already began reflecting on how Kelce influenced their careers. Jason Kelce and his brother Travis host a podcast called “New Heights.” The only thing many fans are wondering is the podcast is about the two brothers and their experiences in the league, so what will it be like when only one is in the league?
A student at Liberty High School, anonymously stated that they have grown up watching the eagles. “His jersey was my first ever NFL jersey I owned.”
