If you don’t know much about our lovely student body president, Aiden Western (12), you are about to be enlightened. This outstanding young man is not just a senior at Liberty High school, but he is a caring person who wants to make a difference in our school.
Aiden started off doing Student Council in third grade. He was thrown into to do it, but little did he know he was going to fall in love with this activity. In sixth grade he was sadly not accepted into Student Council, but he didn’t give up there. When seventh grade came around, he got accepted. Since then, Aiden has been in Student Council and is making a huge impact on the student body.
“It is stressful balancing school and student council, but what you get out of it is worth it,” said Western.
Being in Student Council and being a senior is very stressful especially with balancing AP college course classes. Western started off last year having a set list of goals for in-person learning, but now that the pandemic happened and students are in online schooling, Western has discovered a new way to help students still feel involved in school activities.
“My goals for this year with the pandemic is trying to make school feel normal again. I want to bring new ideas to the table event and culture wise. I want to make sure the student body is heard so we can have the best high school experience,” said Western.
Aiden believes that every school in the Clark County School district has played an important role to make him a better student body president. He also believes that it is important to have a relationship with different schools, so we can learn and grow from each other.
“Nevada has amazing schools and working with them has benefited me,” said Western.
