Everyone describes him as a leader that tries his best and is always there when you need him. Meet Kahekili Koi Paaoao, most know him as Koi. He’s captain of our Varsity football team, has five scholarships, and yet manages to maintain a high GPA. Koi was made Captain of the football team this year through the voting of his teammates.

Kahekili’s (Koi) father was a big inspiration and motivation for him. As said by Koi, “all my childhood he has taught me what discipline, hard work, sacrifice, strength, and unconditional love for your family looks like.” 

Koi was born in Hawaii and started football at the age of 5. He moved to Vegas in 2019 and joined our Varsity Football team. Since Koi became our Team Captain, he has grown into a role model, and someone you can look up to. 

Being a great defensive player and good leader puts him in the spotlight for scholarships. These scholarships include DYU, Colorado State, Washington, Arizona, and Hawaii. Even with so much on his mind he still made time to work with Student Council to plan the homecoming dance. 

With so much on his plate he still manages a 3.6 GPA. Even now he helps 702 bless football program to help the youth. He even helps around by teaching the youth learn about football through 702BLESSED. Koi exclaims that , “He is always the best coach I know and has touched the hearts of so many great players and young men, which he continues to do by being the Founder of the 702BLESSED youth football program.” Koi follows the words of god and preserviers through everything

Kahekili Koi Paaoao Words about his dad –

“He’s the hardest working man I know and he has always and continues to sacrifice his health and personal happiness on a daily basis for me as well as my five siblings. Watching and hearing him wake up three in the morning to head to work knowing he just got home from a long day of coaching around 10:30 pm all my childhood he had taught me what discipline, hard work, sacrifice, strength, and unconditional love for your family looks like. He is my hero and I plan on using my successes to help both my mom and dad live comfortable.”
