Artists around, are you struggling to find inspiration? Do you want to show off your creativity? If so, First Friday is an event you wouldn’t want to miss. This event is held the first Friday of every month.
First Friday is not only for small artists to showcase their work but also small businesses. This event is all about finding connections between eachother, inspiring one another, and discovering new forms of art. First Friday is downtown Las Vegas and lasts from 5pm to about 11pm.
Family and friends of all ages are welcome. Options can are limited for children because of places such as bars not allowing people under the age of 21. However, this shouldn’t stop you from coming, there are still many fun and available activities. Including many street performers and fun things to buy your kids to keep them entertained.
Not only is art shown but music as well. In many different ways, music brings people together whether it be your taste in music or just cultures coming together. First Friday welcomes any form of music, so come and show yours off. This event welcomes any form of creativity, art and music are just the main things being presented.
Food is also of the essence at the First Friday event. So, don’t be worried about having an empty stomach. There is a variety of different foods ranging from greek to hispanic food. These businesses sell everything from their own types of food to different forms of art. Their enclusivty is very honored, as they allow for everyone to be included and everyone to be accepted.
Parking for the event is hard to find so try and reserve a spot before the event. The most common place to park is at 500 S. Main St., if you aren’t able to find a good parking spot, then be prepared to walk. When parking, make sure the parking spot is signed public or event parking, many businesses that aren’t involved in this event and dislike cars being parked infront of their stand.
Take this amazing opportunity to learn more about other cultures and interests, you may just find a new hobby. If you would like to donate to First Friday please do (any little bit helps)!
