Track has started for the Liberty patriots. Track is a big part of Liberty’s track sheet. They are hoping to dominate the competition and so far they have. Currently they are top 5 schools in ccsd. A lot of individuals on the team are also dominating  with lots of track participants being top 5 to 10 in the state. I talked to a first year runner named Kaelyn, Kaelyn runs the 100 and 400. When asked about how she likes track so far, she said ¨she enjoys it and it’s a lot of fun.¨

Also interviewed was Nevaeh Chavarri. She runs the 100m, 200m, 4×100, and long jump. She was asked what she would say to newcomers of track she said this, ¨Track is a really mental base sport even tho practices can be boring or tiring it all pays off, once you go to your first track meet it makes you see track differently in a good way, a way that makes you enjoy it so much more that the competitiveness side comes out and soon you see yourself wanting to beat all your previous times etc along with getting better and stronger every day.¨
