October is one of the most anticipated months of the year. Kids spend weeks planning their costumes and begging their moms to “hurry up!” so they can trick or treat as soon as possible. Don’t you remember that excitement? That sense of creativity? Now look at you: throwing on a black t-shirt and drawing on cat whiskers last minute and telling people you’re a “black cat.” Hate to break it to you, but the only thing scared of you is the half-empty bowl of melted mini Snickers on your neighbor’s front porch. Your laziness sickens me. How dare you put minimal effort into the most imaginative events.
Fear not (even though I doubt you did in the first place), I am here to help you pick out not only special costumes, but moderately easy ones as well.

The Other Mother and Coraline (Coraline 2009)
(Other Mother) For this costume, you will need: a black dress with white polka dots, a black bob wig, and black buttons for eyes if you’re feeling creative.
(Coraline) For this costume, you will need: A yellow raincoat, jeans, yellow rainboots, a blue bob wig, a preferably dragonfly hairclip, and bonus points, a black cat stuffed animal.
Charlie Swan and Carlisle (Twilight 2008)
(Charlie Swan) For this outfit, you will need: a blue and black flannel, a fake mustache, some jeans, and a beer can as a prop.
(Carlisle) For this outfit, you will need: A white doctor’s coat, a blue button-up, a light blue tie, a black belt, black trousers, and foundation a shade lighter than your skin.
Amanda and Jigsaw
(Jigsaw) For this costume, you will need: a black suit, a white button-down, a red bow tie, a red handkerchief, a crazy black wig, white face paint, maybe black and red contacts if you’re feeling creative, and a small red bike for a prop.
(Amanda) For this costume, you will need: a purple tank top, purple arm sleeves, a black skirt, ripped tights, black boots, and a reverse bear trap prop for the head. You can make the bear trap out of cardboard or buy it online for cheap.
Silent Hill Nurses
For both of these costumes, you will need: white face paint, toilet paper or gauze if you’re feeling creative, a white nurse’s hat, a nurse’s outfit, and white heels.
Dexter and Doakes (Dexter 2006)
(Dexter) For this costume, you will need: a muddy green long-sleeve, black gloves, his badge, muddy green pants, and red face paint for fake blood.
(Doakes) For this costume, you will need: A blue polo shirt, a black belt, a fake gun holster, suspenders, his badge, and navy blue trousers.
Dean and Sam Winchester (Supernatural 2005)
(Dean Winchester) For this costume, you will need: a long brown leather jacket, a black t-shirt, jeans, and a black watch.
(Sam Winchester) For this costume, you will need a brown hoodie jacket, a blue shirt, and jeans.
Mr. White and Jesse (Breaking Bad 2008)
(Jesse Pinkman): For this outfit, you will need: A long yellow hoodie, a grey beanie, a black t-shirt, and darkwash jeans.
(Walter White): For this outfit, you will need: A black bomber jacket, a black hat, glasses, a fake mustache, a green button-up, and black trousers.
Hannibal Lector and Clarice Starling (1991)
(Hannibal Lector) For this outfit, you will need: A straight jacket and a muzzle.
(Clarice Starling) For this outift, you will need: A brown suit, a white t-shirt, and a lamb stuffed animal if you are feeling creative

(Xenomorph) For this outfit, you will need: a black body suit, pipe cleaner tail, a helmet, and grillz.

Monster Energy Cans (Your favorite flavor)
You and some pals can dress up as your favorite flavor! The costume for this is extremely simple. All you need to do is coordinate a cute outfit with the colors of the can and put the logo on your chest.

If you and your girls are looking for a witchy, yet recognizable costume, this just might be the one. You’ll need a white blouse, a black skirt, and tights.
