Creatine is a product that is used specifically for muscle building. Creatine allows the muscles to flex and provides a burst of energy for your muscles to perform better in the gym or in any other forms of exercise. A human’s diet usually only produces 1 to 2 grams of creatine a day and if you’re really trying to build muscle that is not enough. Creatine first started back in 1832 when a scientist first found out that this stuff can really benefit the human body.
Creatine still wasn’t majorly used until the early 1990’s when bodybuilders started officially using creatine. In current times it is said that creatine is one of the most widely used nutritional supplements and is very typical among athletes. Students at Liberty High School were interviewed on their opinions on creatine. The first question is whether or not students use creatine or know someone who does, Jacob S. states “I take creatine everyday before i go to the gym.” Landon P. stated “my dad and I both take creatine daily.” Creatine is widely used between all ages of people all around the world. Creatine is usually taken in a powdered form paired with water or any other form of drink. Now that the demand for creatine is up companies have also been making gummy forms of creatine to make it easier and quicker to take down. Liberty high school students were also asked about which form of creatine they think is better. Student Owen S. said “I usually take the powder but the gummy forms are great too”. Creatine is usually taken in drinks because it is tasteless, odorless, and is very easy to mix into any liquid.
Creatine is easily one of the easiest supplements to take to improve your athletic ability, Even Olympic athletes utilize creatine and have been since the 2003 Olympics when it was first legal to be taking this supplement. Since the 90’s this product has skyrocketed, in fact this year alone sales of creatine products have gone up 40%. This number is expected to grow even more overtime especially because of our generation’s athletes.
