Think about the Illuminarium…how much would you pay to get in? There are many conflicting opinions about the Homecoming ticket prices. Some people agreed with the prices but others had something else to say. Rylie, a junior, thinks that it is more than worth it to pay the price for Homecoming. “The Illuminarium is a highly expensive venue and so I think the price is suitable for what you get in return.” On the other hand, a sophomore, Kenzie Yamamoto, thinks that it isn’t a reasonable price and should be lowered. “I don’t think it’s a reasonable price because is all the attractions in the Illuminarium worth it? I could go somewhere else to take pictures instead of the Illuminarium.” When asking 9th grader, Elia Santos she thinks that $50 is a reasonable price but increasing it to $70 isn’t. “I think that $50 is a reasonable price to pay but increasing it to $70 is way too much.”

Some people think that we should host Homecoming at a different place so that the tickets are more affordable for people that aren’t able to afford to pay $50 or more. Rylie disagrees with hosting it at a different location. “I don’t think we should host it somewhere else because the Illuminarium provides so much. I also think that this is one of the things that we do better and take more pride in, because Coronado hosts Homecoming at their football field and I think that having it at the Illuminarium is just much more enjoyable for everyone.” What are your thoughts on the prices for the Homecoming and would you pay $50 or more to go?
