The debate of what the most underrated sport is always becomes a big argument. Now what really is the most underrated sport. When interviewing, a lot of people had different opinions on what really is the most underrated sport. Gianna Sales, an 11th grader, thinks that the most underrated sport is gymnastics. When asked if she would ever consider being a gymnast she stated, “I wouldn’t consider becoming a gymnast because it requires a crazy amount of upper body strength that I don’t have the motivation to build.” When asking another student, Xion Flores, also an 11th grader he thinks that the most underrated sport is ultimate frisbee. Xion would consider playing ultimate frisbee, “I would consider playing it because it’s a really active sport and is easier on the body compared to other sports.” When asking 10th grader, Liam Santos, he thinks that the most underrated sport is baseball. But when asked if he would ever play the sport he stated, “I wouldn’t play this sport because the game moves too slow for me and I’d rather play more of a fast paced sport, but it is an enjoyable sport to watch.” On the other hand, Vida Torres thinks that the most underrated sport is golf, she thinks that in order for it to become more popular it should be talked about more on social media. “I do think golf deserves more media coverage and
especially women sports deserve more media attention because women can also do some things that men can too because a lot of women play golf as well.” When asking Sales if she thinks that gymnastics deserves more media attention she stated, “Yes, gymnastics deserve more media attention because the females and males display really unique skills like flying between different bars. They are also able to swing their legs in a circle at a really fast speed. This sport really requires a lot of upper body and core strength and it should be more recognized.” When asking Flores how ultimate frisbee could become more known he stated, “To make it more known, schools and communities could organize more tournaments and events. Social media and TV coverage could also help a lot to get the sport to become more known.” A lot of people have different opinions about what is the most underrated sport.
