While the days of the Summer heat fade away, and there’s the upbringing of the other seasons, now there is an conflicting question for some. Which season is truly the best, the coming of Fall’s vibrant leaves, golden environment, and the time of spook and thanks, or the coming of Winter’s crisp air, cozy nights, and the holiday spirit of the North Pole?
Many things contribute to the decision of which holds supremacy, like the holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Both holidays have their own specialties in the landscape and seasonal activities.
Most students of Liberty prefer fall over winter when it comes to activities, like a sophomore, Camila Quintanilla says, “I prefer fall more because I think it’s the best time of year where there’s a lot of things to do and going on and it just has the perfect weather, and the activities, like going to the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, trick or treating, and just more seasonal fun since it’s not too cold too.”
However, others have opposite opinions, like Koa Makanai, a junior at Liberty says, “I feel Winter is better because it has the perfect weather, where the fits get baggier and comfier, and the spirit of Christmas wins over Halloween and Thanksgiving because the vibes are just better and more magical. Plus ice skating and building gingerbread houses, nothing can top that.”
Fall and Winter have their own each specialties like in the category of seasonal comfort foods. You can expect to see spiced foods and drinks, like pumpkin spice flavored things, which is basically the national anthem of Fall. But in Winter, you can see more peppermint things, like candy canes, Christmas themed baked goods, and the drinks hot chocolate and eggnog.
Now while the ghostly and spooky environemnt is great, so is the magical wonderland of the North Pole coming to light? So now what season do you think falls on top?
