Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Sheck Wes have been collaborating this past year for one of the most exciting projects of 2019. The album, Jack Boys, is ready to be dropped.
Scott first mentioned Jack Boys in a Zane Lowe interview in October. Hinting at he has contributions from the likes of Sheck Wes, Chase B, Don Toliver and more.
“I’m at the point where I’m just trying to cook up some dope shit and drop ‘Highest in the Room… I’m always down to drop music and serve some packs to the fans. It’s time for the fans to eat… I’m gearing up for something special. All I can say is Jack Boys is on the way,” said Scott.
Many verified accounts have released information. Like how the famous twitter account, ‘Rap-Up’, tweeted that Don Toliver’s manager has confirmed that Jack Boys will be dropped. The album officially came out on December 27th of 2019
Traivs Scott also tweeted out the link fans could use to purchase the Jack Boys clothing line. Along with the merchandise he included that there will be a digital download of the album upon release date.
The reason this album was so anticipated, is because of how topical Scott is. After his previous album Astroworld was dropped, Scott’s arena-sized tour grossed $34.3 million in its first three months with 485,659 tickets sold.
Astroworld and Scott’s success was unparalleled. To top off his stellar year, the Texas rapper received a rare honor when his hometown, Houston, established an “Astroworld Day” after the success of his Astroworld Festival.
Don Toliver is another artist is on the rise to stardom. With very few songs released he has the likes of No idea, Best You Had, and Situation on his success belt. He also previously featured in Travis Scott’s song, Can’t Say.
Produced by London Cyr & WondaGurl, Can’t Say debuted at #38 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of August 18th, 2018, and had only risen throughout that year.
“The process was dope. We flew out there to Hawaii. The whole gang was there. It was nothing but love and great energy. It was definitely a creative process going on in the area. It was just a lot of vibes, man. Feeding off of everybody’s energy,” said Don Toliver.
After anticipating this collaboration for months, fans are ecstatic to hear Jack Boys. Everyone should give it a listen, for it was projected to be the major project to wrap up the decade.
