What is an Art Show? An Art Show is a place where artists can show off different forms of art in one setting. For example sculptures, painting, drawing and more.
Our school had an art show March 9th starting from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Classes like ceramics, photography and painting were heavily involved in the art show. Although the art teachers advertised it to their classes, anyone could have signed up and submit their work.
The Art Show was primarily in our school library but some of the oil pastel flower pieces were in the theater. When first entering the double doors by the 900s hallway food can be seen lining the library wall. Bringing food wasn’t required but encouraged. Foods like pizza, brownies and more were seen at the potluck.
Once inside the library you can see art pieces on aisles and small ceramic sculptures near the back couches. Artists were able to sell their pieces for any price they wished although you did not have to sell them your artwork. All different forms of media were used in the art show including oil pastels, paint, charcoal and watercolor, even digital art was welcomed.
The school Art Show was here to motivate and help aspiring artists see different forms and different ways people show their work. Looking at different techniques our peers do to help their artwork pop.
Please come join us in our next Art Show to see the creativity and hard work amongst our peers.
