BSU (Black Student Union), is a club at Liberty High School that mainly focuses on bringing others together and empowering black students. The club meets on Thursdays in room 212 and during these meetings you can take part in fun activities such as Foodie Fest You might have seen BSU at the LHS Foodie Fest on September 19, 2023 where they served soul food such as chicken, macaroni and cheese, and more.
In the past, club members of BSU have been able to go on trips! For example, on April 17, 2023, the Clark County Caucus and BSU Network took members on a 3-day Legislative Networking Trip (You can find BSU’s social media account @bsu_liberty on instagram!). On this trip they got to speak with an assembly of people in Lake Tahoe and take a tour of UNR (University of Reno).
(We asked the BSU President – Jada Tucker, and Treasurer – Andrew Campbell questions about the club and what it’s about!)
